‘RX 100’ turns 3, Kartikeya awaits collaboration with director Ajay Bhupathi again

Three years ago, on this day, actor Kartikeya scripted history with the romantic crime thriller ‘RX 100’. Although he has acting experience with his debut movie ‘Prematho Mee Karthik’, Kartikeya has come to be known as ‘RX 100’.

It was a movie that changed the commercial metres of Telugu cinema with an honest and emotional narrative. The song ‘Pilla Raa’ had also stolen many a heart.

Paayal Rajput played the character of Indu, a woman with an abnormal sexual desire, who gets closer to the rural guy Siva, played by actor Kartikeya. The movie, was shot in Atreyapuram in Andhra Pradesh, tells the story of Siva and how his life gets ruined after he grapples with love, betrayal and victimisation. The movie garnered a lot of attention among filmgoers after word of mouth gradually helped in filling up seats in theatres.

Sharing his memories of ‘RX 100’, the actor wrote on his Twitter page, “3years back on the same day July12th 2018 #RX100 released and changed our lives forever. Indebted forever to my director @DirAjayBhupathi and can’t wait for our collaboration again.. #3yearsforrx100 @starlingpayal @RaamDop @chaitanmusic #AshokReddy @Cinemainmygenes @kcwoffl(sic).”

Kartikeya is currently working on a couple of projects namely ‘Valimai’ and ‘Raja Vikramarka’. His last outing ‘Chaavu Kaburu Challaga’ fared decently at the box office. However, he was praised by audiences for his deglam role as Basthi Balaraju.
