Hyderabad: A group of voluntary organisations involved in palliative care along with Cipla Palliative Care has launched a special helpline ‘Saath-Saath’ to provide support and guidance to patients with end-stage ailments across multiple cities in the country including Hyderabad.
The toll-free helpline 1800-202-7777 will be operational from Monday to Saturday between 10 am to 6 pm in Hyderabad, Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Thiruvananthapuram and Guwahati.
The helpline is a national free-of-cost service where patients, caregivers and healthcare providers can be connected to the nearest palliative care centre when required, Cipla Palliative Care said in a statement.
The helpline, which will provide support to patients in multiple languages, will ensure they get guidance and assistance to pain relief, physiotherapy, diet advice and family counselling services.
Rumana Hamied, Managing Trustee, Cipla Foundation and Cipla Palliative Care and Training Centre, said, “The helpline is a collaborative effort that offers an opportunity to people living with serious illnesses to find the right connects to get the care that is responsive to their needs, at any point in their ailment journey.”
