Hyderabad: Samsung, India’s largest consumer electronics brand, reported record festive sales across its premium smartphones, televisions, and home appliances during the Navratri and Dussehra period, driven by improved consumer sentiment, attractive festive deals, and GST rate cuts.

The company said sales of its premium smartphones rose 40% year-on-year, led by strong demand for its Galaxy AI-powered devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold7, Galaxy S25 series, and Galaxy S24 series. Galaxy AI, Samsung’s proprietary artificial intelligence suite, enhances user experience through intuitive, efficient, and personalised interactions.

“Sales of premium Galaxy smartphones priced above ₹30,000 grew 1.4 times compared to the same festive period last year. We are confident that our AI-powered smartphones will continue to perform strongly through the Diwali season,” a Samsung India spokesperson said.

Samsung had launched festive offers on its flagship Galaxy S24 Ultra, Galaxy S24, and Galaxy S24 FE models ahead of Navratri, which began on September 22.

Television sales also saw exceptional growth, with premium models registering a 100% year-on-year increase during the two-week festive period. The surge was attributed to reduced GST rates on televisions above 32 inches and strong consumer interest in Samsung’s Vision AI-powered Neo QLED and OLED TVs.

“Sales of premium televisions doubled compared to last year, supported by unmatched deals, extended warranties, GST cuts, and rising adoption of AI televisions in India,” the spokesperson added.

Samsung’s home appliance segment also witnessed robust performance, with overall sales — including air conditioners, refrigerators, and washing machines — growing 30% compared to the previous year. The company said the growth was driven by attractive offers, cashback deals, easy financing options, and energy-efficient features.

Samsung’s Bespoke AI home appliances, built around four key consumer benefits — Easy, Care, Save, and Secure — continued to gain traction, offering users smarter, more sustainable living experiences.
