Hyderabad: Just days after its release the tech giant Samsung has confirmed that it halted the latest One UI 7 update. According to reports, the rollout of the update was suspended on Monday ie, April 14, for all affected devices such as the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6.

According to Korean media, the release has been stopped after a bug was spotted in the update. Reports suggest that the bug has resulted in the phone not being able to be unlocked usually and in other cases some serious battery drops were reported after the update.

The bug was first discovered by a leaker named Ice Universe on X (formerly Twitter), where he announced the same. As some users also pointed the issue out, the Korean company delayed its plans to roll out the latest build globally.

One UI update was rolled out officially on April 7, 2025. Just after a week, the company had to halt the global release of the update.

However, the latest reports suggest that Samsung has fixed the bug and is ready to be released again. Sources say that the much-anticipated update is slated to be resumed today, ie on April 15.

According to Samsung, the latest update was supposed to bring a string of features that include smoother animations, faster app opening times, Now Bar–a lock screen option that controls notifications, music, and other live alerts and other AI features such as AI Select, Writing Assist and Audio Eraser.
