Health Minister Damodara Rajanarasimha inaugurated a sand bazar at Sangupet–Jogipet, Sangareddy, announcing one facility every 20 km radius to supply quality sand at fair prices with online monitoring.
Sangareddy: Health Minister Damodara Rajanarasimha inaugurated a sand bazar at Sangupet-Jogipet junction on Tuesday. The facility will be operated by the Telangana Mineral Development Corporation (TGMDC).
Speaking at the event, the Minister said the government aimed to provide quality sand at nominal prices without middlemen. He announced that one sand bazar would be set up for every 20 km radius in the district to meet local needs, including those of Indiramma housing.
As there were no natural sand reaches in Sangareddy, the government had decided to establish sand bazaars, he said, adding that online monitoring would track sand sales to prevent illegal trade.
TGMDC Managing Director Brajesh Mishra and others were present.
