Hyderabad: Sports Authority of Telangana State (SATS) chairman Allipuram Venkateswar Reddy felicitated young swimmer Vritti Agarwal, who has been selected for the national junior swimming team that will participate in the upcoming South Africa National Swimming Championships at Port Elizabeth from April 6 to 11.

This event will serve as a qualifying event for the FINA World Junior Championship scheduled to be held from August 23 to 28.

The Sports Federation of India (SFI) is going to send the team to Stellenbosch High Performance Centre in South Africa for training and international exposure. Vritti is the first swimmer from Telangana to be selected for the junior Indian team.

SATS chief lauded her and said that she will be a role model for the State swimmers in the future.
