SC, ST Commission cautions BHEL against lapses in reservation rules

SC, ST Commission Chairman Bakki Venkataiah has cautioned BHEL management against any violation of reservation rules and roster points in recruitment and promotions.

Sangareddy: SC, ST Commission Chairman Bakki Venkataiah told the BHEL management that the Commission would not tolerate any violation in implementation of rule of reservation and roster points in recruitment and promotion of staff. 

During a visit to the BHEL on Saturday, Venkataiah held a meeting with the management and also with the representatives of SC and ST employees association.


After accepting a representation from the SC, ST Employees over the issues being faced by them, Venkataiah directed the management to take up the recruitment of backlog posts without any delay. He observed that the management should ensure that rights provided to the SC, ST employees by the Indian Constitution are implemented strictly. 

The Chairman asked the management to resolve the issues brought by the SC, ST employees to their notice on priority. Executive Director Srinivas Rao, General Managers, Umamaheshwar Rao, T Naidu and others were present.
