Mancherial: An employee of the Singareni Collieries Company Limited was killed on the spot, while his wife sustained critical injuries when a lorry rammed into their motorcycle on NH 363 at Bokkalagutta village in Mandamarri mandal on Monday evening.

Police said that Goli Venkata Swamy from Bellampalli was killed on the spot. His wife, who was grievously injured, was rushed to a hospital in Karimnagar. Her condition was said to be critical. Further details are awaited.
