Hyderabad: Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) on Friday placed a deputy manager and two supervisors under suspension holding them responsible for roof collapse incident in underground mine of SCCL’s SRP 3 and 3A incline at Srirampur in Macherial district a few days ago. A charge-memo was issued to the mine manager in connection with the incident. V Krishna Reddy (57), B Laxmaiah (60), G Satyanarayana Raju (32) and R Chandrasekhar (32) died in the incident.
The management has made it clear that no one will be spared if there is any laxity while discharging their duty. It said that swift action was taken against those responsible for the incident for the first time in the history of Singareni.
SCCL Chairman and Managing Director N Sridhar already ordered a probe into the incident.
