Hyderabad: With an aim to provide protection to government officials from SARS-CoV-2, a class XII student from Delhi Public School, Nacharam, Aryan Singh Saluja has developed a novel mobile application called, ‘Covid Warriors’ that will provide free sanitisation services.
To avail the facility, government offices in Hyderabad have to download the application and place a request on it. Trained personnel will sanitise and disinfect the spaces as per WHO guidelines, free of cost on receiving the request.
This small but thoughtful gesture will aid the hapless staff including the frontline warriors, who have to weather difficult work conditions in the call of duty. Covid Warriors app is collaborating with B-SAFE sanitisers to render this service professionally.
Speaking about the initiative Aryan said, “Developing the application is my way of giving back to society. You have to place a request for sanitisation and disinfection of a concerned government office, duly mentioning name and location details. A Covid warrior will be assigned to fulfil the request in 24 to 48 hours.”
This service was launched recently and three departments besides an NGO have already availed the service. A one-week gap is required for the concerned government office or building to place a second request for disinfection of the premises.
