Secunderabad Rly Station suspends Platform No. 1 parking amid redevelopment
South Central Railway (SCR) has advised passengers at Secunderabad Railway Station to use parking facilities on Platform No. 10, as parking at Platform No. 1 has been temporarily suspended due to redevelopment works. However, pick-up and drop are permitted at Platform No. 1 for short durations.
Hyderabad: Passengers using Secunderabad Railway Station have been advised to utilise the parking facilities available on the Platform No. 10 side, as parking at Platform No. 1 has been temporarily suspended due to ongoing redevelopment works.
The South Central Railway (SCR) authorities in an advisory issued on Wednesday said the station redevelopment was progressing on a war footing as part of a comprehensive plan to upgrade passenger amenities, strengthen infrastructure, and improve operational efficiency.
In view of this, while parking at Platform No. 1 is not permitted, pick-up and drop is allowed there for a minimal duration. For boarding, pick-up, drop and parking, passengers are encouraged to use the adequately developed facilities on the Platform No. 10 side.
To assist passengers, clear directional signage, public address announcements, and display boards have been installed at key locations across the station, SCR officials said.
