Hyderabad: The administration of Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) on Wednesday said that Om Sai Professional Detective and Security Services (OPDSS), the agency that deployed security personnel at the hospital campus, did not submit the monthly bills on time to claim the salaries of security guards and also did not promptly pay the statutory EPF and ESI contributions of its employees.
Responding to news reports on delayed payment to security guards at NIMS, which were published in these columns on Tuesday, Medical Superintendent, Dr N Satyanarayana on Wednesday said, “Multiple meetings were conducted by the NIMS administration with M/s OPDSS regarding the prompt submission of bills along with details of statutory payments like EPF and ESI buy there is no desired compliance from them.”
“M/s OPDSS has been a habitual defaulter in payment EPF of its employees for an amount of Rs 3.73 crore, which came to the notice of NIMS. To process the payments to the out-sourcing agencies at NIMS, including security agencies, it is mandated to submit the details of EPF and ESI payment of the previous month by M/s OPDSS to ensure statutory compliance,” he said.
