Rajanna-Sircilla: Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister K T Rama Rao on Wednesday instructed the district officials to take steps to check the spread of Covid-19 in the district through comprehensive planning.
Rama Rao reviewed the Covid situation in the district with District Collector D Krishna Bhaskar through teleconference from Hyderabad.
The Minister discussed the steps to be taken to control coronavirus, better treatment in hospitals and other issues. He enquired about the treatment being provided to Covid patients in government as well as private hospitals, availability of beds, oxygen maintenance and facilities being provided to patients.
The Minister instructed the officials to take precautionary measures to ensure that there are no problems in oxygen supply and logistics.
Stating that the coming two weeks were crucial, Rama Rao wanted the officials to come up with a comprehensive plan to ensure that people do not face any problems. He also appealed to the people to cooperate with government machinery by following lockdown norms.
“Self-restriction is best and people should not come out. If there is any emergency work, the public can take care of it during the relaxation period,” he said. Enquiring about the people (above the age of 45 years) who took the first dose of vaccine, the Minister instructed health workers to motivate the people for the second dose.
Rama Rao appreciated medical and paramedical staff for providing treatment to corona patients by putting their lives at risk. Besides frontline warriors, sanitation works were also appreciated for maintaining localities clear.
Door to door fever health survey taken up by the state government was yielding good results and it would help to control the virus since the medical staff was distributing medicines to people suffering with corona symptoms.
State government was taking all possible measures to check the spread of the virus, he said and informed to monitoring covid situation in the district regularly.
