Seventh edition of MLRITMUN kicks-off with gavel ceremony in Hyderabad
The seventh edition of the MLR Institute of Technology Model United Nations (MLRITMUN 2025) began in Hyderabad with a Gavel Ceremony. Organised by The Club Literati of MLRIT, the three-day event brings together students, faculty, and delegates to celebrate diplomacy and leadership.

Hyderabad: The seventh edition of three-day MLR Institute of Technology (MLRIT) Model United Nations (MLRITMUN 2025) was inaugurated with a Gavel Ceremony, marking the formal commencement of the prestigious conference.
The event, being organised by The Club Literati of MLRIT (MLRIT) is aimed at celebrating diplomacy, dialogue, and leadership, bringing together students, faculty members, and distinguished delegates.
On the occasion, Marri Rajashekar Reddy, Secretary, MLRIT and Malkajgiri MLA, emphasized the importance of youth participation in shaping the future of society.
He expressed his belief that Model United Nations conferences serve as an ideal platform for young individuals to articulate their perspectives, develop leadership qualities, and engage in meaningful decision-making, a press release said.
This year’s MUN features six committees such as UNHRC, UNCSW, AIPPM, International Press (IP), UNODC, and DISEC, each designed to simulate real-world diplomatic discussions and policy-making processes.
The ceremony concluded with the address of Secretary-General, MLRITMUN 2025, Khaja Moizuddin. Dr. K. Srinivas Rao, Principal of MLRIT, Dr. V. Radhika Devi, Dean, Dr. Ch. Achireddy Head, Humanities and Science, Dr. Momin Ali, Faculty Coordinator of the Club Literari and senior faculty and students were present.
