Sujatha committed suicide by consuming pesticide as she was unable to bear Krishna's harassment for a long time
Kumram Bheem Asifabad: Police have booked an abetment to suicide case against a person who was allegedly harassing a married woman to fulfill his sexual desires in Penchikalpet mandal centre after the woman died by suicide on Saturday.
Penchikalpet Sub-Inspector Ch Ramesh said that accused was Racharla Krishna, a rice mill owner from the mandal headquarters while the victim was Junugari Sujatha (35), wife of Srinivas and the daughter of Tarabai.
Sujatha committed suicide by consuming pesticide as she was unable to bear Krishna’s harassment for a long time. She died while she was being rushed to a hospital in Kaghaznagar. “Krishna used to torture my daughter to fulfill his sexual desires that forced her to kill herself,” the mother said.
The woman is survived by a son and daughter.
A case was registered against Krishna under Section 306 (Abetment of suicide) of the Indian Penal Code. Krishna was already booked under Section 354 ((Assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of the Indian Penal Code) in the past. Investigations are under way.
