Shaheen Association organises National Girl Child Day event in Hyderabad

Shaheen Women’s Resource and Welfare Association organised a programme to mark National Girl Child Day at its office in Sultan Shahi. The initiative was aimed at educating women and girls about their rights and empowering them through education and collective action.

Hyderabad: A city-based organisation, “Shaheen Women’s Resource and Welfare Association”, organised a programme to mark the National Girl Child Day on Saturday.

The event was attended by C Suresh, Senior Civil Judge, City Civil Court, M Srinivas, District Child Protection Officer (DCPO), and senior lawyers of the city.


Jameela Nishath, founder and chief functionary, said that the aim of the program was to educate the women and girls about their rights. It was also aimed at empowering women and girls through education and collective action.

Around 300 girls and women participated in the program organized at Shaheen Women’s Resource and Welfare Association office at Sultan Shahi.
