Shivani Goud powers Osmania University into quarterfinals

Shivani Goud’s unbeaten 91 guided Osmania University to a third consecutive win in the South Zone Inter-university women’s cricket tournament. Osmania posted 138/4 before bowling out Jeppiaar University for 72, sealing a place in the quarterfinals

Hyderabad: A fine knock by Shivani Goud (91 n.o., 72b, 11×4) helped Osmania University record its third win in a row in the South Zone Inter-university women’s cricket tournament in Chennai on Thursday.

Osmania University, electing to bat, made 138 for four in 20 overs with Shivani being the top-scorer.


In reply, Jeppiaar University was bowled out for 72 in 20 overs, with Padmasree and Naveena taking three wickets each and Hansika and Krishna Priya two wickets apiece.

Osmania qualified for the quarterfinal after today’s win.
