Sangareddy: In a development that has deepened the mystery over eight persons who went missing after the accident at Sigachi Industries Limited, none of over 100 samples sent to the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) matched with DNA reports of people who showed up as the kin of the eight persons.
With identification proving inconclusive, officials have suggested that the family members consider returning to their native places.
The families were counselled on Wednesday by officials led by Sangareddy Additional Collector Chandrashekar at the rehabilitation centre set up in the Pashamylaram industrial area.
Shocked by the statement, the kin expressed anguish over the lack of closure. However, officials assured them that the process of issuing death certificates would be completed within three months.
The Additional Collector also said efforts were under way to ensure that the families of the eight missing workers receive ex gratia and other entitlements.
