Hyderabad: Chairman and Managing Director of Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL), Dr Buddha Prakash Jyothi, visited coal mines in the Manuguru and Kothagudem areas on Friday and Saturday to review mining operations and production activities.

The CMD, along with Directors LV Suryanarayana (Operations) and K Venkateshwarlu (Projects and Planning), visited the mines and observed the coal production process. On the first day, he visited Opencast Mines 2 and 4 in the Manuguru area and reviewed coal production operations. He directed officials to take further measures to improve coal quality standards. Area General Manager Durgam Ramachander and other officials were present.

During his visit to the newly opened VK coal mine in the Kothagudem area on Saturday, the CMD flagged off coal production and the transportation of coal from the mine to the coal handling plant (CHP). Later, he entered the Padmavathi Khani (PVK) underground mine and inspected coal production operations being carried out using Continuous Miner and LHD machines.

He instructed officials to achieve production targets while strictly adhering to safety measures and giving greater priority to coal quality. Later, he conducted his first review meeting with Directors and heads of various departments at the Singareni headquarters in Kothagudem.
