SCCL Chairman and Managing Director N. Balram reviewed the quarterly performance with Directors and General Managers of all operational areas at Singareni Bhavan in Hyderabad on Saturday.

Expressing satisfaction over the performance, Balram appreciated the efforts of all teams in achieving the set targets. He instructed officials to ensure uninterrupted coal production from opencast mines during the ongoing monsoon season.

To meet July’s targets, he directed the company to dispatch 2.15 lakh tonnes of coal per day and produce 1.8 lakh tonnes daily.

The ground-breaking ceremony for the VK Opencast mine in Kothagudem, for which all approvals have been secured, should be held by the end of this month, he said.
