Sircilla police arrest fifth member of Janashakthi extortion gang
Sircilla police arrested Dubba Madhu, a member of an extortion gang operating in the name of the banned extremist group Janashakthi. Four members had already been arrested earlier this month.

Rajanna-Sircilla: Sircilla police arrested a member of an extortion gang that allegedly collected money from people in the name of the banned extremist group Janashakthi.
While four members of the gang were arrested on January 9, another member, Dubba Madhu, was arrested at Ramalaxmanapalli in Mustabad mandal on Wednesday.
Police recovered a country-made pistol, an extra magazine and eight rounds from the accused. Besides extortion, the gang was also involved in land disputes and real estate activities, police said.
Producing the accused before the media on Wednesday, Nagendra Chary, DSP, Sircilla, explained the modus operandi of the gang.
