Sircilla youth ends life in Dubai

A 24-year-old youth from Rajanna-Sircilla district died by suicide in Dubai, reportedly due to financial problems. The victim, Varikuppala Rakesh, had migrated for work one-and-a-half years ago. Local leaders assured support to bring his body home

Rajanna-Sircilla: A 24-year-old youth, Varikuppala Rakesh, died by suicide in Dubai. He took the extreme step by hanging himself in his room on Saturday night.

Though the exact reason for his death is not yet known, financial problems are said to be the cause. A native of Kancherla in Veernapalli mandal, Rakesh had migrated to Dubai in search of employment one-and-a-half years ago.

Rakesh, who expected higher pay, was disappointed after receiving a lower salary. Unable to cope with mounting financial burdens, he reportedly ended his life.

Village sarpanch Samarla Devaraju and Vaddera Sangam leaders assured the bereaved family that steps would be taken to bring the body to the native village at the earliest by bringing the issue to the notice of BRS working president KT Rama Rao.
