Six held for cockfighting in Mancherial
Six individuals were arrested in Mancherial district for participating in the banned sport of cockfighting at Gullakota village, Luxettipet mandal. Acting on a tip‑off, police raided an isolated spot on the village outskirts and seized cash along with a rooster.
Mancherial: Six persons were arrested for allegedly indulging in the banned sport of cockfighting at Gullakota village in Luxettipet mandal on Saturday. Police seized cash and a rooster from the accused.
Luxettipet Sub-Inspector Gopathi Suresh said that Pasupunuti Sai, Gurrala Srikanth, Sundilla Suresh, Karukuri Anil, Akkala Ganesh and Erraveni Ganesh were apprehended while committing the offence at an isolated spot on the outskirts of the village, following a tip-off.
