Peddapalli: Collector Koya Sree Harsha suspended six Panchayat Raj department staff working in Mutharam mandal for neglecting duties.
Collector made a surprise visit to the Mutharam MPDO office on Tuesday. Though he visited the office at around 11.30 am, they were not available in the office.
When he checked the biometric attendance register, the collector came to know that they are absent from duties for many days without getting prior permission. Though they were issued memos a number of times, they neglected duties.
Enraged over the employees’ negligence toward duties, the collector issued an order by suspending them. Senior assistant MD Khadar Pasha, junior assistant V Naresh, office subordinate MD Fayaz, panchayat secretaries Surender, Fayaz and Jaipal were suspended.
