Skeletal remains recovered during drain cleaning in Machabollaram

A human skeleton, believed to be that of a man, was found in a drain near Motkulakunta Lake in Machabollaram, Alwal, during a garbage clearance drive by HYDRAA personnel. Police have launched an investigation to identify the deceased and determine the cause of death.

Hyderabad: A skeleton was found in a drain near Motkulakunta Lake in Machabollaram in Alwal on Wednesday.

According to information available, the remains, which are believed to be those of a man, were discovered by Hydraa personnel while clearing garbage from the drain. The body had decomposed completely and was reduced to skeletal remains.


On receiving information, the Alwal police rushed to the spot and took up investigation.

The recovered skeleton was shifted to the Gandhi Hospital morgue for a post-mortem examination.

Police are trying to establish the identity of the victim and ascertain the cause of death.
