Collector asked officials to take steps to create awareness among the people on segregation of wet and dry waste

Mahabubabad: Expressing ire over the delay in the development works taken up under Palle Pragathi programme, District Collector VP Gautham directed the officials to expedite the works. He asked them to take steps to create awareness among the people on segregation of wet and dry waste.

Gautham inspected the segregation sheds, Vaikunthadamas, Palle Prakruthi Vanams and dumping yards at Lakshmipuram Thanda, Brahmanapalli, Jillellagudem villages in the district on Saturday and enquired with the officials concerned about the process of segregating wet and dry waste and details of items sent for recycling.

Noticing water-logging in the dump yard, he instructed the authorities to remove the water-logging immediately and suggested digging a trench round the dump yard to stop water from entering the yard.

MPDO Ravinder Reddy, Panchayati Raj EE Mahesh, Kommugudem and Jillellagudem sarpanches Guglothu Nehru, Sheikh Shafi, Panchayat Secretary Bhavani and others were present.
