Yadadri-Bhongir: A special hundi has been set up in Yadadri Sri Lakshminarsimha Swamy temple (Balalayam) for collection of contributions from devotees for gold plating of Vimana Gopuram of the main temple.
With the State government deciding to involve the people in gold plating of the Gopuram, the temple authorities set up a special hundi at Balalayam to collect contributions from devotees for the purpose.
Temple Executive Officer N Geetha said devotees can drop either gold or money in the special hundi. The collections received through special hundi would be spent on gold plating of the Gopuram. Special hundi has been marked “Hundi for gold plating of Vimana Gopuram” for easy identification, she said.
