SR University earns global recognition in Times Higher Education Rankings
SR University, Hanamkonda, has secured a global position in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings-2026 for computer science and core engineering.

Hanamkonda: SR University has secured a global ranking in computer science and core engineering streams in Times Higher Education World University Rankings-2026.
THE World University Rankings assesses universities using 18 performance indicators grouped under five pillars-teaching, research, citations, international outlook and industry income. SR University Chancellor, A Varada Reddy congratulated the faculty, staff and students on the achievement.
The ranking reflects SRU’s sustained efforts in quality education, skill-oriented teaching, faculty development and impactful basic and interdisciplinary research, particularly in computer science and core engineering, he said.
SRU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Deepak Garg noted that the recognition highlights SRU’s consistent progress in academics, research, outreach and infrastructure.
The University hosts 11 specialised research centres and has recorded over 6,000 WoS/Scopus-indexed publications, 800 plus Q1 papers, 1,500 plus patent publications, 95 patent grants and more than Rs 10 crore in research funding, he said.
Through SR Innovation Exchange (SRiX), its Technology Business Incubator, SRU has mentored over 170 startups across technology, agriculture, healthcare and cleantech sectors, Prof. Garg added.
