Sree Venkateshwara clinch OU inter-college badminton title with 2-1 win

Sree Venkateshwara Degree College won the Osmania University inter-college badminton championship for men with a 2-1 victory over Bhavan’s Vivekananda. MVSR Engineering College secured third place after defeating OU Arts College by an identical margin in the playoff.

Hyderabad: Sree Venkateshwara Degree College defeated Bhavan’s Vivekananda 2-1 in the final of the Osmania University inter-college badminton championship for men here.

MVSR Engineering College recorded an identical win against Osmania University Arts College to settle for third place.

The results: Final: Sree Venkateshwara Degree College bt Bhavan’s Vivekananda 2-1 (Rajasimha Reddy lost to Siddarth 9-21,11-21; Manas Reddy bt Rohith 21-18, 21-13; Rajasimha Reddy & Manas Reddy bt Siddarth and Rohith 18-21, 26-24, 21-18).

3rd place: MVSR Engineering College bt OU Arts College 2-1 (Vishnu lost to Sagar 20-21, 14-21;

Murali bt Jignas 21-20, 20-21, 21-16; Manas & Murali bt Jignas and Sagar 21-10, 18-21, 21-16).
