Sri Rama Navami held on grand scale in Illandakunta

Karimnagar: Sri Rama Navami was celebrated on a grand scale at the historic Sri Seetha Ramachandra Swamy Temple on Friday.
After the Bhadrachalam Temple shrine, the Illandakunta Ramalayam is among the most प्रसिद्ध for the celestial wedding of Lord Sri Rama and Goddess Sita. Devotees from across the district and neighbouring areas thronged the temple in large numbers to witness the wedding ceremony of the deities.
Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar and Huzurabad MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy presented silk cloths to Lord Rama and Sita. Collector Chitra Mishra and Commissioner of Police Gaush Alam offered mutyala thalambralu to the presiding deities.
Additional Collectors Ashvini Tanaji Wakade and Laxmi Kiran, among others, participated in the celebrations. On the occasion of Sri Rama Navami, temple authorities made elaborate arrangements for the convenience of devotees.
Police also made tight security arrangements to ensure the ceremony was conducted peacefully.
Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar participated in Sri Rama Navami celebrations held at the Sri Mahasakthi Temple.
Vemulawada MLA and government whip Adi Srinivas presented silk cloths to Lord Rama and Sita during the celestial wedding in Vemulawada. Earlier in the day, Minister Prabhakar had darshan at the Sri Bheemeshwara Swamy Temple.
BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao took part in Sri Rama Navami celebrations held at various temples in the Sircilla constituency.
Meanwhile, Sri Rama Navami celebrations were also held at the Kondagattu Anjaneya Swamy Temple, Odela Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple, and other shrines across the region.
