Star Hospitals has launched a special initiative for senior citizens to provide a dedicated helpline and facilities to provide timely treatment to prevent health issues

Hyderabad: Commemorating the World Senior Citizens Day on August 21, Star Hospitals introduced Star Sammaan,  a program to provide healthcare privileges for seniors in its hospitals.

Speaking on the occasion, the Hosptal Joint MD Dr. Ramesh Gudapati said honoring seniors was not just a tradition, but a duty. With the newly launched scheme, the hospital hopes to prevent health issues among seniors, ensure they receive timely treatment, while the special privileges are aimed at reducing their financial burden. The program has been carefully crafted to prioritize their well-being, he added.


Hosptal CEO Dr. Rahul Medakkar recalled how Star hospitals was driven by family values. Under the STAR Sammaan initiative, a dedicated helpdesk and helpline would be set up, discounts will be provided on services. The hospital was also planning to provide affordable home care services.
