Hyderabad: The Telangana Recognised School Managements Association (TRSMA), which represents private budget schools, has urged the State government to start physical classes for students in the first week of February and until then online classes be held.
On Tuesday, TRSMA president Yadagiri Shekhar Rao, general secretary Sadula Madhusudhan and treasurer IV Ramana Rao requested the government not to close the schools for any reason in the future and said students should not be deprived of education under any circumstances.
The TRSMA members wanted the government to extend the present academic year up to May. The State government had announced holidays for all educational institutions except for medical colleges from January 8 to 16. In view of the surge in Covid-19 cases, the holidays were extended up to January 30.
