Hyderabad: Tourism Minister V Srinivas Goud and Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister E Dayakar Rao said all efforts would be made to develop the area around the ‘Statue of Equality’ of Sri Ramanujacharya at Muchintal as a tourist destination.
The two Ministers visited the Tridandi Chinna Jeeyar Swamy Ashram in Muchintal and inspected the arrangements for the unveiling of the Statue of Equality next month.
The Ministers inspected the roads being laid to the venue as part of arrangements for the statue unveiling ceremony.
Addressing on the occasion, the Ministers said elaborate arrangements depicting Telugu culture were being made for the unveiling ceremony. President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi are expected to participate in the programme, the Ministers said, adding that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, many eminent personalities and Vedic scholars will participate in the ceremony.
Besides laying internal roads, many other arrangements are being made to ensure there is no inconvenience to people participating in the ceremony.
Reconstruction of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple atop Yadadri was also nearing completion and Chandrashekhar Rao has already taken up measures for restoration of many temples across the State, they said.
“With Yadadri temple reconstruction, Telangana has been transformed into a spiritual hub and unveiling of Ramanujacharya statue will be an added attraction,” said Srinivas Goud.
