Street Cause holds Hyderabad Youth Assembly
An initiative to present youth with an opportunity to put forth their views and perspectives on various civic and social issues, with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG) as the theme.
Hyderabad: City-based student NGO Street Cause, conducted the Hyderabad Youth Assembly (HYA) for the tenth time in a row, here on Sunday.
An initiative to present youth with an opportunity to put forth their views and perspectives on various civic and social issues, HYA is conducted in two phases to discuss societal problems with an agenda to resolve them. The second phase of HYA was conducted on Sunday with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG) as the theme.
Led by Lalit Aditya, Tejo Sheshadri and Sameeksha, it had 50 delegates from over 5,000 applicants from colleges across the city and the UNSDGs like zero hunger, clean water and sanitation, economic growth, etc were discussed and debated upon.
Former IPS officer JD Lakshminarayana was the chief guest at the event and he commended the NGO saying, “Activities like these inspire the youth and it is important for everyone to get inspired to do their part for the society.”
