Mancherial: Students Federation of India (SFI) district secretary Bhandari Ranjith alleged that the authorities of the Minority Welfare Department and a minority residential school were appointing teachers at their will and were handing over appointment orders later by accepting bribes from job seekers.

Speaking to the media here on Wednesday, Ranjith alleged that the principal of a minority welfare residential school and officials of the Minority Welfare Department had colluded and were filling various posts including teachers and non-teaching staffers by extracting bribes from the applicants. He alleged that the regional coordinating officer of the schools was also accepting bribes for transferring principals.

The district president of the student union further alleged that the authorities of minority residential educational institutions were not monitoring facilities extended to students. He stated that the students were fed poor-quality food. He demanded an inquiry into irregularities of the officials and suspension of the district welfare officer. He wanted recruitment of posts by district collectors.
