Students fall ill after midday meal at Sangareddy school
Several students of a mandal parishad primary school at Venkatapur in Sangareddy district fell ill after consuming the midday meal on Thursday. At least 17 students were admitted to a government hospital, and an inquiry has been ordered into suspected food poisoning
Sangareddy: Several students of the mandal parishad primary school at Venkatapur in Narayankhed mandal fell ill after consuming the midday meal on Thursday. Soon after lunch, the students began vomiting, prompting teachers to shift them to the Government Hospital in Narayankhed for treatment.
At least 17 students were admitted and kept under observation. Narayankhed MLA Patlolla Sanjeeva Reddy visited the hospital, enquired about their condition and asked doctors to provide treatment on priority.
Meanwhile, an inquiry is under way to identify the cause of the suspected food poisoning. After learning about the incident, parents and relatives rushed to the hospital.
