The Telangana Gazetted Junior Lecturers Association has urged the State government to extend the breakfast and mid-day meal scheme to all government junior colleges. It also sought early implementation of increments, probation declarations for the 2023 batch and improvements in college infrastructure.

The Telangana government will roll out breakfast and milk/ragi schemes in 1,302 schools and junior colleges from Monday, covering over 1.44 lakh students. Midday meals will also be introduced in junior colleges, with Hare Krishna Movement and Mana Trust tasked with preparation and distribution.
