Sangareddy: Students of the Social Welfare Girls Residential School at Andole have complained that their principal, Sadguna Mary Grace, was allegedly making them wash her clothes and car and sweep her room regularly.
Unable to bear the harassment, the students protested on the school’s premises on Saturday, prompting Revenue Divisional Officer Pandu and CI Anil Kumar to reach the spot immediately. Though the officials tried to convince them and assured them to take the issue up with higher officials, the students continued their protest.
They raised “Principal down, down” slogans. As the students refused to relent, the RDO informed Collector Valuru Kranthi, who asked Additional Collector Chandrashekhar to visit the school.
The students complained to Chandrashekhar that the principal was also harassing the teachers. While physical education teacher Swathi went on leave unable to bear the harassment, the students said the Mathematics teacher was also facing similar issues with the principal.
The Additional Collector assured that they would take appropriate action after carrying out a thorough inquiry.
