Hyderabad: Learning is not limited to the doors of classroom. Summer vacation offers a golden opportunity for the students to hone different life skills, while having fun. Children learn more by seeing and doing. They not only enjoy but reflexively imbibe the essence of each activity.
Summer Camp is the best time to let them indulge in what they love and hone their creative skills. Driven by this aim, DPS, Nadergul organised an exciting and stimulating Summer Camp from May 5 to 15 for grades I-X as a prelude to the Summer Vacation ahead. The students got a golden opportunity to tap their inner potentials, shed their inhibitions and explore themselves under the expert guidance of our qualified teachers.
This year’s summer camp provided varied forms of art and learning oriented workshops which gave wings to creativity and satiated the inquisitiveness of the eager minds and added to their developing range of skills. The camp was able to fulfil the promise to hold something for everyone right from the curious young souls to the ardent adolescents.
A wide range of exciting activities children could choose from included – Art, (Mandala Art, Fabric Painting, Glass & Pot Painting, Madhubani & Warli Art) to help the students develop their bilateral coordination, fine motor skills and promote their artistic efforts. Yoga to develop physical and mental health, Keyboard and Tabla to develop kinaesthetic skills and graceful coordination and self-control., Hip-Hop to provide a great outlet for not only their energy but also artistic expression and Chess to enhance concentration, patience and perseverance and develop creativity, intuition and memory. The students got an opportunity to freely explore their talents and also learn new things that would aid their personality development.
The idea behind the event was to engage the kids in activities that they find both enjoyable and meaningful and also to provide a uniform platform for all children to explore and express their creativity, in any form.
