Hyderabad: D.S. Chauhan, Principal Secretary and Commissioner Consumer Affairs, Food and Civil Supplies on Friday received the commendation award from Prahlad Joshi, Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution in recognition of the lead role played by him in implementation of the Route optimization programme for food grain transportation under the State Public Distribution System.
Telangana was the first state with 100% adoption of this system. The initiative enhances efficiency, transparency, and beneficiary access while saving time and public funds. This commendation specifically acknowledges excellence in supply chain management and route optimization.
