Supply good quality provisions to hostels: TSFC chairman
The Chairman said that the State government was taking the responsibility of giving compensation to beneficiaries of either Anganwadi or civil supplies if they register losses, with the advent of the national food security act 2013.

Kumram Bheem Asifabad: The Telangana State Food Corporation (TSFC) Chairman Tirumala Reddy on Thursday asked the authorities concerned to ensure that the provisions and other essential items supplied to the general public, Anganwadi centre and government-run hostels are of good quality.
He along with Zilla Parishad Chairman Kova Laxmi and Collector Rahul Raj convened a review meeting with district authorities over the national food security act in Asifabad on Thursday.
Stating that mid-deal meal scheme, Anganwadi centres, KCR Kits and civil supplies would fall under the food security wing, Tirumala Reddy told the authorities to debate issues of the four during meetings of Mandal and Zilla Parishad council every month by allocating sufficient time. He instructed the officials concerned to form district and village level vigilance committees to check irregularities.
The Chairman said that the State government was taking the responsibility of giving compensation to beneficiaries of either Anganwadi or civil supplies if they register losses, with the advent of the national food security act 2013. He suggested the officials take up field visits and understand ground reality. He informed that parents who have three children were eligible for availing KCR Kits.
Collector said that a special diet was being given to wards of Anganwadi centres and government-run hostels as per recommendations of a state-level committee. He stated a warden was suspended for showing negligence in providing food to inmates of a hostel in Bejjur mandal centre, recently. He wanted funds for constructing buildings to certain Anganwadi centres.
The IAS officer stated that groceries were not being supplied to Anganwadi centres for the past four months and the issue was brought to notice of the commissioner of Child and Women Welfare Department. He regretted that dwellers of remote areas were facing inconvenience owing to linking of ration cards with Aadhar cards.
Members of the corporation Govardhan Reddy, Asifabad ZPTC member Nageshwar Rao, District Revenue Officer K Suresh, ZP Chief Executive Officer Saya Goud and many other officials attended the meeting.
