Suryapet: Two youngsters were washed away in Krishna river at Adluru of Chinthalapalem mandal in Suryapet district on Monday.
Gopi and Chandrashekhar, natives of Adluru village, went fishing on an indigenous boat in Krishna river at 6 am. They were washed away in the heavy water flow and strong current.
With the help of locals, Chinthalapalem police took up search in Krishna river for the youngsters. They found the boat used by them at Patha Adluru, about one km downstream of Adluru. Search operation was continuing for the two youth, police said.
