In a landmark study, ISRO has confirmed the first-ever direct observation of Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) from the Sun impacting the Moon’s exosphere. The findings, published in Geophysical Research Letters, offer vital insights for future lunar missions and the design of sustainable human habitats on the Moon.

The statement indicates that the funding will enable UK institutions to collaborate with space agencies such as ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation) and NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration).

ISRO said that the data collected by the payloads is received at the Earth and the Payloads are now switched off. It is expected by ISRO that Vikram Lander and Pragyaan will awake again on around September 22.
