The redevelopment of Malkajgiri Railway Station under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme is progressing swiftly, with 60 per cent of the work completed. The Rs 27.61 crore project will add modern facilities and amenities for passengers, including divyangjan-friendly infrastructure

The facilities for train travelers planned at the redeveloped Begumpet station includes removal of unwanted structures, improved lighting, better circulating area, upgraded parking space, Divyangjan-friendly infrastructure, environment-friendly building by use of green energy, etc.

Khammam and Madhira railway stations in Khammam district and Bhadrachalam Road railway station in Kothagudem district were among the 21 railway stations to be redeveloped in Telangana under the limits of South Central Railway (SCR).
