Narayana said that compensation of Rs 1 lakh was given to kin of scribes who died in road accidents and due to ailments.

The State government was giving a pension of Rs.3,000 to families of deceased journalists besides extending financial support to the sick, he said.

As many as 55 journalists were infected with Coronavirus in erstwhile Khammam district and an amount of Rs 10,000 each was credited into their accounts
