Pavan Kumar, a young Ham operator from Vijayawada died of injuries he suffered in an accident. He was in coma for over three weeks after he suffered a serious head injury in a road accident.

He was a well-known person among the amateur radio operators and was always keen to share his knowledge with other ham operators.

The international "radio listeners or radio listen" club was founded in March 2013 at the Academia Caruaruense de Ciencias e Letras (ACACIL) in the city of Caruaru, Pernambuco in Brazil.
