The BRS on Wednesday criticised Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy for allegedly using his Sircilla public meeting to target BRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao and working president KT Rama Rao instead of addressing issues concerning weavers, farmers and implementation of Congress poll promises.
Sircilla, famed for its weaving tradition, has installed a Jota statue at the Collectorate junction to depict the entire process of cloth weaving, from cotton to handloom. The installation, along with other statues, highlights the lifestyle of the weaving community and is drawing visitors.
BRS working president KT Rama Rao has issued a stern ultimatum to the Congress government, demanding the immediate implementation of the flagship 'Worker to Owner' scheme before Sankranti. He accused the government of deliberately stalling the project, which aims to empower weavers by turning them into entrepreneurs.
