BRS general secretary RS Praveen Kumar alleged large-scale irregularities in the Bhu Bharati portal, claiming thousands of land transfers took place without owners' consent. He demanded the Revenue Minister's resignation, a police investigation and disclosure of the official inquiry report.

Villagers from Penchikalpet mandal in Kumram Bheem Asifabad district have accused a computer operator of collecting Rs 26 lakh in bribes for land titles and partitioning of assets on the Bhu Bharati portal. The accused is said to have cheated many more applicants and faced similar corruption charges earlier at Rebbena MRO’s office.

Defending the BRS government's initiative to introduce the Dharani portal for land registration, she emphasized that Dharani serves as a protective shield for farmers, effectively curbing land scams in the State.
