A black buck was injured after being hit by an unidentified vehicle while crossing NH-65 at Digwal in Kohir mandal on Monday. It was later rescued by the forest officials
The Task Force (East) arrested a man in Hyderabad for possessing and attempting to sell blackbuck horns. The suspect, a mason from Shaheen Nagar, had earlier powdered and sold portions claiming medicinal value. A case was booked under the Wildlife Protection Act
These sightings will now help the forest officials to initiate more measures and create the required ecology for increasing the population of such species in ATR.
