The BRS has stepped up its campaign against the alleged diversion of Tungabhadra River waters by Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, with senior leaders inspecting the Rajolibanda Diversion Scheme in Karnataka. The party warned of launching a massive agitation to protect Telangana’s water rights, accusing the Congress government of indifference and granting clearances to upstream projects that threaten irrigation in Mahabubnagar district.
The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has urged the South Central Railway to provide job guarantees to farmers who gave land for the Kazipet railway manufacturing unit. The SCR assured that the concerns would be forwarded to the Railway Board.
A delegation of BRS leaders led by Badugula Lingaiah Yadav, MP and L Ramana, MLC met the DGP and requested him to direct police officials to act impartially and take action against Congress leaders instigating attacks against BRS followers.
